you've found an animalWe are currently limiting intakes to allow us to focus on keeping our staff healthy and providing a safe haven for the animals in critical need of our services. We ask that the public only bring in abandoned, sick or injured animals to our shelter at this time. We are still here to support our community and are working hard to provide alternatives to finding lost animals.
Help us find the owners by completing our Found Animal Request Form. Or call Animal Control at (772) 226-4799. search all lost & found |

What to do when you find kittens?
Cats are very good at finding their way home and we discourage any trapping of cats at this time for capacity reasons. If you find kittens, please do not interfere and quietly observe from a safe distance to determine if the mother is present. Please do not consider the kittens abandoned unless the mom has been gone for more than 4 hours (if kittens eyes are closed) and 10 hours (if kittens eyes are open). If you have concerns or have a sick or injured animal, please book an appointment. When you arrive for your appointment, please call the phone number on the sign in the parking lot and a staff member will come to you while you're in your vehicle. |
